1st Mar 2019 – 27th Oct 2019

The exhibition Tippett & Britten: Portrait of a Wartime Friendship tells the story of two giants of British music in the twentieth century Michael Tippett (1905-1998) and Benjamin Britten (1913-1976) whose lifelong, slightly wary friendship, survived artistic and personal disagreements. Through a series of remarkable events, their lives became politically and creatively intertwined.
