Reg Meuross presents a song cycle of folk music from his 13th album.

This moving work is inspired by Brian W Lavery’s book ‘The Headscarf Revolutionaries’. Have a glimpse at Hull’s Hessle Road fishing community and fisheries worker Lilian Billoca. Billoca campaigned for improved safety in the fishing fleet in the aftermath of the Triple Trawler Disaster in 1968.

The piece is interwoven with narration from Brian W Lavery, and includes rare archive footage. Meuross is joined on stage by Hull musicians, Mick McGarry and Sam Martyn.
