Wentworth Road, Aldeburgh, IP15 5BD 01728 452312
Lighthouse offers Mediterranean cuisine on Aldeburgh high street. The split-level eatery is popular with locals and visitors, due, in part, to the friendly service and laid-back feel. Of course the food is the main draw, with the constantly updated menu featuring fish captured by the local boats 200m away. Flavoursome, rustic dishes in generous portions.
77 High St Aldeburgh IP15 5AU 01728 453377
Classed as ‘modern cuisine’ by Michelin, Brudenell offers both double AA rosette winning food and panoramic sea views, in a relaxed, informal setting. Dine outside, right by the beach!
The Parade Aldeburgh IP15 5BU 01728 452071
Aldeburgh Market Cafe uses the seasonal ingredients available in the adjacent store to whip up culinary delights. Serving wonderful seafood dishes, amongst others, this lovely little establishment is a greengrocer, deli, fishmonger and daytime cafe all in one.
170-172 High Street, Aldeburgh, IP15 5AQ 01728 452 520
An Adnams pub in the nearby village of Snape (5.5 miles), with original brick floors, oak beams, and an inglenook fireplace. This 15th century former smugglers’ inn raises various animals on the land behind, which provide most of the meat used in their regional menus.
Bridge Rd Snape IP17 1SL 01728 688324
If you're willing to travel a little further out, these wonderful establishments in equally wonderful places are worth a visit!

Orford IP12 2LJ 01394 450205
Bromeswell (13.1 miles)
A 16th century pub, given a modern makeover to accompany its modern British cuisine. The Unruly Pig uses local, seasonal produce in their delicious menu. There are tables outside in the garden, allowing for al fresco dining on a balmy evening and dogs are more than welcome.
Orford Rd Bromeswell IP12 2PU 01394 460310
Woodbridge (17.4 miles)
On the Thoroughfare, this modern dining pub makes the most of local produce. With a smart, granite-floored bar and four different dining areas, The Crown provides rustic cooking in a contemporary setting.
Thoroughfare Woodbridge IP12 1AD 01394 384242
Recommended by the Good Food Guide 2012, this light and airy restaurant serves delicious, well-crafted, modern dishes. A restaurant, cinema and theatre all in one, look out for the set menus, which include entry to a film in the price. We love the warm bread served with balsamic vinegar and olive oil on arrival.
Quayside, Woodbridge, IP12 1BH 01394 382587
